Adam Simmonds opens Pavilion
The new Pavilion restaurant headed up by Michelin-starred chef Adam Simmonds has opened in London's Kensington. Its modern cuisine will offer seasonal produce. Many ingredients such as jams, chutneys and pastries will be produced in house. Simmonds had previously received a Michelin star for The Oak Room at Danesfield House venue.
Pavilion comes with a florist at the entrance with Bouquets by Paul Morris as well as a deli counter where customers can take away snacks, salads and sandwiches. British cured meats and more than 50 varieties of cheese will also be on offer in addition to breads and pastries baked on site.
An art deco bar forms the 60-cover restaurant's centrepiece. Design studio design LSM has created interiors for the space including this bespoke 22-seater feature. Marquina marble, brass inlays and a pewter top make up the bar. A brass wine gantry along with yellow leather stools and illuminated glass pillars also feature. Specially commissioned artworks by Simon Casson adorn the walls of the restaurant space. Pavilion also houses a private terrace and member’s club in what was previously the Dryland complex.
